About The Author

Rakshan Syed is the author of Embolden Women: Unapologetically Me. She is a mom, career woman, and a daughter. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been passionate about women’s empowerment. From a young age, she had a sense of unease regarding the universal acceptance of gender biases & would challenge the norms that would discriminate against women. She has passion for women’s education and career development. She strongly believes that every woman must be given equal opportunity in all facets of life. She is a Lawyer, Interior Designer, and a Digital Director in a fortune 100 company. Her passion for women empowerment and gender equality is what prompted her to write her first book; ‘Embolden Women: Unapologetically Me’.

It’s her dream to support women to be self-reliant, educated, and not shy away from the conversation. She has a firm belief that educated woman make better choices for themselves and society, enabling and amplifying the voice of women in all facets of life where decisions are being made. She is convinced women must be given opportunity to be self-sufficient without depending on others, with full control of their life. She mentors and coaches’ women in her network, wants to reach a broader audience & help more women across the globe. For the global reach of her voice and message as a means of giving back to the society, she started engaging with women via this book, enabling her to establish the platform globally.
